The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.
Salvatore M. Pizzino
Dr. Salvatore Pizzino has been treating patients in Southport since 1995. He is a graduate of New York University, College of Dentistry and completed a chief residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is now a clinical attending.
Dr Pizzino has received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry as well as in Orthodontics and Implant dentistry. In 2007 he co-directed Implant Seminars at NYU and is currently a study club lecturer for Invisalign. In addition to being past president of the Bridgeport Dental Association, Dr. Pizzino serves on the CT State Dental Association Board of Peer Review.
Boris Arbitman, DDS
Dr. Arbitman received his Dental Training at New York University College of Dentistry, from which he graduated in 2001 with honors. Dr. Arbitman went on to gain further training and experience in advanced dentistry and prosthetics at Long Island College Hospital and St. Barnabas Hospital where he served as chief resident. Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Arbitman attended Jacksonville University- School of Orthodontics from which he graduated in 2005 with an advanced specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Boris Arbitman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the New York State Society of Orthodontists, and the Queens County Dental Society.
Tina Cortina, RDH
Tina Cortina graduated from the University of Bridgeport Fones School of dental hygiene in 1995 and has been treating patients in private practice for the past 13 years. Tina is certified to give local anesthesia.
Brian Jaronieswki, RDH
Brian Jaronieswki received his hygiene degree from Ferris State University and has recently relocated to Fairfield from Michigan. Brian is also a volunteer firefighter in Southport.
